Our consulting is often based on Eurocode EN 1993. This norm describes just about everything regarding design of steel structures. However, there are more product-specific standards. One of the norms we have worked with is EN61400 which deals with the design and dimensioning of wind turbines. Another norm EN13445 deals with the design of pressure vessels. In this standard, we have chosen to focus on the so-called "Design by Analysis" - "Direct Route" which describes how you dimension pressure vessels using Finite Element Analysis software
